"Where Net Radio Connects" The Internet Radio Coalition

The IRC Internet Radio Pool is a group online broadcasters using Shout cast, Live 365, Ice cast, Wave streaming, and several other streaming services. The IRC Internet Radio Pool meets periodically to better understand trending topics for Internet broadcasting, new music reviews, and guide lines for legal broadcast licensing, and establishing better ways of generating revenue streams via sponsorship and commercialism.

The Internet Radio Coalition known as the IRC, has come together to solve certain issues that Internet Radio broadcasters face when setting up an Internet radio station. The IRC helps in the development of a strong sound website. The IRC works with developing a strong multi level social networking stream for Internet radio stations. IRC works on search engine optimization for member websites, and works on a solid plan for building a consistent listening audience. Promotions and marketing campaigns are planned for maximum Internet, streets, trade magazine, and broadcast radio and television exposure.

Music is supplied for Internet Radio stations in the coalition via the very first ever Internet radio station pool. A service that is used to generate a cumulative popularity report for independent and major music currently being promoted playing for online audiences. Each station reports monthly with a top 50 report of music played in rank by popularity and buzz. All reports are posted monthly by each radio station director. The effectiveness of the combined report allows for new music to rated by Internet radio broadcasters and their audiences from all over the world.

The Internet Radio Coalition strives to bringing ever member into broadcasting legally. This means that they are licensed by the federal government to play copyrighted works to listeners worldwide and that they pay ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and Sound Exchange for these rights and report to these organizations in order for the artist whose music is being played on their stations can be paid royalties for airplay, publishing, production, and writing their works.

The IRC meets on and forms public opinions on Internet broadcaster's rights. We are full supporters of the Internet Radio Fairness organization. The Internet Radio Coalition is here to assemble the largest group of Internet broadcasters throughout the world, and meets yearly to discuss the upcoming changes in the media broadcasting, radio, and music/entertainment worlds.
