Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Jamal entered in 1975 to a modest lifestyle. Son of Harvey “Wali” Whited Jr. aka Jumpin Jack and Marie Whited, Jamal had an early knack for putting things together and making them look good.

In 1987, after touring the world as a musician with several bands, Jamal’s father Wali began the Atlanta Star DJ Record Pool. Later that year circumstances arose and Wali was forced to create the Jumpin Jack DJ Record Pool. The Jumpin Jack DJ Record Pool is where Jamal would get his early start in the music business in 1990 at 15 years old, when he began servicing Atlanta, Georgia teen night clubs such as Motions, Shyran’s Showcase, Club Xcess, Club 731, and Club 559; while developing very important relationships with industry personnel from DJs to record company promotions reps to street rep. teams from all over the metro Atlanta area.

After about 10 years of delivering the hottest new Hip-Hop music to the metro Atlanta area, Jamal saw the emergence of the Internet and how it began to affect the music business and began NworcsRadio.com an Internet radio station whose main purpose would be to expose the new music on a bigger platform; the world.

While developing the platform known as NworcsRadio.com (which later branded as ATLWebRadio.com), Jamal realized an absence of true music business applications to the new world of developing and releasing new music. In plain, he realized that a lot of independent artist and labels weren’t fully aware of the new processes for generating revenue from music physically and online. With that realization brought a passion for educating these individuals on not only how to prepare for true independence in the music business, but as well how to capitalize on this independence for maximum exposure and profit.

Now, after 11 years of broadcasting live around the world to over 17 million website viewers and in 95 plus countries worldwide, 24/7/365, Jamal Whited commonly known as an Internet Music Business Guru, decided to offer his knowledge to the people via the Internet Meets Music Business 101 workshop series. The 101 workshop series are the first phase in Jamal’s over all vision of offering an IMMB four day conference, consisting of Internet and Music Industry Elite Panels, Workshops, Events and innovative activities throughout Metro Atlanta. After fulfilling his goal of the IMMB Conference, Jamal Whited plans to continue to pass on his system for Internet Music Business Excellence for many years to come.
